Universal folding mechanism for longboards and skateboards
This is my final project, with which I completed my bachelor’s degree.
The project presents a sleek, functional folding mechanism for skateboards and longboards, designed to improve portability and user experience in urban environments. The mechanism allows the board to split into two compact parts, making it easier to carry, store, or even fly with – without compromising ride quality, strength, or style. Inspired by real skaters’ needs and the challenges of city life, this solution blends mechanical innovation with the aesthetics of street culture. Built using CNC technology and a smart locking system, the board stays clean, solid, and ready to ride
